Flickr’s blog recently highlighted an amazing series of photos of lounging dogs.

Well, Charles can do that too. He just prefers to lie on top of someone.

Marco Arment posted earlier today his Dogs Waiting For Their Humans-style photo. This is mine.

Chuck In Flight, Reprise

Suffice it to say, these photos were shot during the time of the year that is not anywhere remotely close to the present time of the year, a time when Chuck can swim without the risk of frostbite or getting trapped underneath a glacier or dying from some other beach-related incident.

Unless he swims 50 feet out looking blindly for the ball I just threw down the beach in the opposite direction or swallows enough sand to need to have his stomach pumped.

The One With The Low-Hanging Fruit

It’s rare that Charles is allowed on the couch. Actually, to say he’s ever allowed would be a misnomer; when he gets the urge, he gets on the couch whether we like it or not. If we don’t have the energy to forcibly remove him, he stays and we are forced into tolerance.

This happens exclusively when we are also on the couch (what draw would there be otherwise?). His size and predilection for human contact (of the physical rather than eye or emotional sort) means that we can expect to be laid and breathed on.

But we’re not complaining.
